Colourpop is an awesome company, that has rarely let me down. Most of my colourpop items have been purchased with the help of many people over at Makeupexchange on Reddit. I would create a post with a list of items I’m after and someone would reply offering their help. They would make the order for me, I’ll send the payment through paypal, they’ll package up my items and send them across to me. This has been the safest and cheapest method for me to obtain makeup from America – no customs fees too! I’ve been doing it for over a year now and it has never failed.
Recently, I made another Colourpop haul and decided to try out a few new products. Some products were really out of my comfort zone but I’m glad I forced myself to try them out.

I love eyebrow pencils; they help to make eyebrows so quick and easy to apply. So far, I’ve only tried them from NYX and Soap & Glory. In comparison, the Colourpop brow pencil is incredibly creamy and very pigmented. The shade is a little on the warm side compared to Ash brown and Hot Chocolate, but it still works very well for my skintone and hair colour. I’m pretty excited to see how this works out for me.

I was lucky enough to get my hands on the Birthday girl eyeshadow from Colourpop last year, but I didn’t get my hopes up for Birthday Boy. Luckily, the girl who was helping out with my order, had Birthday Boy but she didn’t really like the colour and was happy for me to buy it from her. It’s a beautiful colour. Definitely leans more on the taupey and purple tones compared to Birthday Girl. But I love it because I don’t have anything like it. The colourpop ultra metallic eyeshadows are amazing and I highly recommend that formula to anyone.

Recently, I’ve really been loving highlighters. I’ve been on a complete highlighter kick and it has been really fun experimenting with the different formulas. Colourpop has one of my favourite formulas. It has a very creamy texture which helps to apply it easily. These shades have all been very perfect for my fair skin – I especially love Stole the Show. Some are a little glittery than others, but they all give an amazing glow.

I’ve always sticked to powder contouring, so these are definitely going to be interesting to try out. Like I mentioned in my previous blog, my skintone is neutral. So, it was difficult to pick between these 2 shades – why not pick up both?! I’m excited to experiment with these and figure out if cream contouring is for me. From what I’ve tried, I love the natural contour they give and they’re so incredibly easy to blend out.
The formula of the Colourpop ultra matte lip was never for me, it was far too drying and I stayed away from them. When I saw the release of the Ultra satin lip, I thought these would be the perfect alternative. So far, I love them. Application is easy and the pigmentation is gorgeous.

I love Jenn Im from Clothesencounters, so I wanted to support her collaboration with Colourpop. The colour of Dohee really caught my eye since it’s unlike any colour I currently own. It’s very out of my comfort zone since it’s so bright and it screams summer at me! It’s definitely going to be a lovely shade to wear throughout the summer months.

Dopey was a shade that was a safe colour for me. I love mauvey pinks and they work very well for me. This is a shade that I’m going to be reaching for a lot! It’s very similar to Stila’s Patina and Limecrime Faded, so if you’re looking for a dupe, check this out.

Colourpop’s new releases are always so exciting and they’re always bringing out new, amazing products that interest me. I wish it was easier to purchase in the UK without having to be faced with customs fees and expensive shipping prices. I’m lucky that reddit has helped me out to get my hands on Colourpop products.

You picked up some great things! I love ColourPop. It’s one of my favourite brands. That Birthday Girl shadow looks amazing! Wow.
Diggin those lip colors!
I definitely agree about their ultra matte lips, I thought they were way too drying and even applying them irritated my lips. I love the ultra satin finish though and I want every color haha.
Stole The Show is my fave highlight – looks like you got some great stuff!
