Girlactik Matte lip paints review + swatches!

Girlatick Matte Lip Paints in Bashful, Posh, Divine & Seductive review

The girlactik matte lip paints were one of the first liquid lipsticks that I tried. I keep it no secret on my blog that I love these liquid lipsticks, they’ve been mentioned in my 2015 favourites, top 5 lipsitcks for autumn and I’ve used it in my simple everyday makeup. I was first introduced to these by Katie at Lustrelux and I’ve been thankful ever since for the awesome recommendation. The formula blew me away instantly. It feels comfortable to wear on the lips; very lightweight and velvety feel. It’s a very light and creamy formula that glides along the lips very easily, making application very simple. Every time I try a new liquid lipstick, I always find myself comparing it to this formula and it’s very difficult to beat! What I love most it that it never feels over drying and it’s long lasting.

Girlactik claim:

Apply this richly pigmented lip paint on to your lips and within one minute it will dry down to a beautiful matte color that will be noticeably dramatic without the dryness or flaking. Your lips are sure to look pout-full!! Did you know Girlactik gives the most product in a vial for matte lippies? You get 7.5ML…that’s more than double of most brands!

From my experience, I completely agree with their claim. They’re everything that I look for in a liquid lipstick. I always love a gorgeous matte finish without flaking! They last a long time throughout the day, don’t withstand eating very well and the transfer is very little. I find that the lighter shades wear off quite naturally, whereas the darker shades tend to leave a lip line.

They have a variety of shade ranges available, going from everyday nudes to bright pinks to winter berries. I have a nice range of shades. Bashful is a gorgeous pinky-nude that is my go-to for wearing on an everyday basis. Posh is a browny-nude that leans more on the red side compared to bashful, I find this too dark on my fair skin for an everyday nude but still a lovely colour nonetheless. Divine (Previously known as Demure) is a dark dusty rose with slight brown undertones, this is a beautiful classic shade and I love wearing this colour especially during the autumn. Seductive is a berry-plum with red undertones and another colour I love to wear in the autumn and winter months. This is definitely my favourite berry liquid lipstick.

They price up to $23 each, which in my opinion isn’t bad, especially since you get extra product and the quality of the formula makes it worth it. For my UK people, shipping is an extra $9.95 and if you’re worried about getting a customs charge, email them to ask them to lower the value, worked every time for me.

I would definitely recommend these to anyone who loves liquid lipsticks! If you’re looking for a new brand to try out then you shouldn’t miss out on these. I’ve been so impressed with Girlactik lip pains that I’m tempted to try out other products by them too.

The colors are all absolutely beautiful! I love that they finish matte, but still have a ton of pigmentation. I will definitely have to check “seductive” out, it is right up my alley! I don’t mind paying more for a great quality liquid lipstick! Great review!

Ooo I’ve never tried anything from Girlactik but the brand is on my list, I saw Kathleen Lights using a product of theirs once and it’s been on my radar ever since. It’s so cool that they actually give the most product, it’s such a ripoff with other brands! Bashful is such a beautiful shade!!

Alex

Since discovering matte liquid lipsticks I’ve definitely been paying more attention to my lip make up! I much prefer them to a traditional waxy formula! These look great, fingers crossed they start selling in the uk soon, maybe they’ll even give NYX a run for their money! Stephie xx
