Haircare Products I can’t live without
I used to abuse my hair. When I was about 17, I bleached my hair at home. It was a big mistake, don't do it! The condition of my hair became so frazzled and dry. But I've now got my hair in a nice manageable state. After much trial and error, I've discovered the haircare products I love the most and I definitely don't want to live without! Bare in mind that I have a balayage effect on my hair, this is where my ends have been bleached. So this contributes to having damaged and dry ends, I always want to take extra care so it doesn't have a damaged appearance. I also don't wash my hair everyday, most people are aware that the natural oils in your hair is very good for it! Also, my hair becomes much more manageable to style on day 2 and 3.
I used to have a tangle teaser and I thought it was the best thing in the world. They were so heavily hyped that I was lead to believe that this was the best hair brush that I’ve ever used. My hairdresser then suggested trying out Wet Brush. I couldn’t believe how easily she managed to pull the hair brush through my hair. Instantly when I went home, I ordered one. My hair can get quite tangled but this hair brush easily detangles it without any struggle and pain. I’m never going back to tangle teaser!
For a while, I didn’t understand the coconut oil hype. It felt like it was too good to be true. I had never used any hair masks before and it seemed like everyone was recommending coconut oil. I never want to look back. The coconut oil soaks in my hair for a few hours and when I wash it out, my hair feels so wonderfully soft. It has really helped with any frizz and my hair feels more healthier too! I highly recommend this to anyone.
This is another hairdresser recommendation. She had noticed how damaged and dry my hair was and suggested trying out this Kérastase range. I tried out the shampoo and conditioner and didn’t love it, it made my hair feel so heavy and I didn’t notice much of a difference. But I love using this leave-in conditioner before blow drying my hair. If I skip this step, my hair never feels the same. It makes my hair feel so soft and look so shiny.
My hair can be flat and lifeless at time and I really hate it. I’m so thankful for this spray by Bumble and Bumble since it gives my hair so much fullness and life! I also love using it when I curl my hair to create a gorgeous beachy-wave look. This is the perfect product to try out if you want some extra texture to your hair. The Charles Worthington Volume & Bounce Texturising Spray is a great dupe for this too, I prefer the Bumble and bumble spray since it feels a lot lighter in my hair and creates more lift.
I don’t know what I would do without dry shampoo. I took a break away from the Batiste dry shampoo for a while to see if any other brands had a better formula. After trying out Bumble and Bumble, Herbal Essences and Co Lab they just didn’t compare to Batise. My hair never looks greasy on day 2 or 3 of not washing it and it love the texture it gives to my hair too. I love the Ella Henderson scent - I honestly have no idea who she is! I also love the Floral Essence scent too.
This product works perfectly when I come out the shower and my hair needs an extra helping hand to detangle. As soon as I spray this in my hair and run my brush through it, my hair very quickly becomes detangled. I feel like this also helps to make my hair extra shiny, silky and healthy. It doesn’t make my hair look or feel greasy at all and it really helps in controlling the frizz too! The only annoying thing is that it’s hard to find in the UK and it can be kinda expensive to get it shipped here from the US.
I’m still experimenting with different hair products. The main reason I don’t have shampoo or conditioner on here is because I haven’t found the perfect product for me that I can call holy grail. Do you have any hair products you can’t live without?
